POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position is responsible for supervising the operations and personnel of the Paint-Blast department. It ensures the department meets company goals and objectives, and ensures employees comply with company policies. The position overview is to be used as a guideline only and may not incorporate all functions of the job.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of department employees to meet production goals while maintaining the highest level of quality in a time-sensitive environment
- Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process, personnel and resources
- Inspect work in progress and completed to ensure conformance to specifications and adherence to quality standards including dry film thickness
- Organizing supplies and creating paint orders for upcoming jobs.
- Keep records on work in progress and completed
- Prepare work schedules, and work assignments for employees and sets work deadlines
- Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
ATTRIBUTES WE SEEK
- Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Effective leadership and team-building skills
- A sound understanding of paint, mixing, and application techniques, as well as of pre-treatment, measurement of paint thickness, and drying procedures
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and effectively manage assignments
- Detail-oriented and self-directed in execution of tasks
- Proven sense of urgency in completing tasks
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
